The project Mapping of Afections is a development of the work done at the seminar "Forms at the Margins of Science". In the project I have been dealing with autobiographical narratives by mapping my physical activities at the time of the first phase of the pandemic between March and August 2020. The aim is to develop a kind of "mapping of affections" of the quarantine in different artistic formats. The formats are meant to capture my relationship to feelings, memories, thoughts, physical training, etc. that I noticed during the quarantine. First of all, I have produced photographs and texts, by means of which I want to create meaning. The photos present visual performances that represent me in relation to various threats as a montage. As I wanted to look back to my own body and thoughts during the isolation, I then playfully played with my skeleton as an illustration of social issues in my security space. In photo performances, or photomontages, I confront certain situations that create critical, comic, ironic, or cynical meanings. The texts are dramaturgical experiments with social issues, political questions, personal memories and mix scientific and individual strategies.
September 2020, a performative installation was developed at Kunsthaus Essen as part of Trampolim 2020 with the cooperation of artist Roberta Medina based on the photo performances and texts.
